Ford is Looking to Hire 1,700 People for a Factory 80 km from Bulgaria

International car maker Ford has announced it will seek to hire 1,700 workers for its factory, located in the Romanian town of Craiova. The management of the company already meets with local government representatives in neighboring settlements seeking support in finding employees, reports Money.bg

Moldova Seeks to Warm Ties With Moscow

A Moldovan diplomatic mission will arrive in Moscow on Thursday for the first inter-ministerial talks since April 2017, when Moldova froze ties with Russia after accusing Russia of trying to kill the ruling pro-Western Democratic Party's leader, Vlad Plahotniuc.

Moldova also claimed that its officials were harassed by the Russian authorities every time they visited the country.

Bulgaria Expects Azeri Gas to Cover 30% of its Needs from 2020

Bulgaria plans to cover about 30 percent of its gas needs beyond 2020 with natural gas from Azerbaijan, reducing its almost total dependence on Russian gas, Energy Minister Temenuzhka Petkova said on Tuesday, reports Reuters. 

The Balkan country has a contract with Azeri state company SOCAR to import 1 billion cubic metres (bcm) of gas a year from the Shah Deniz II field.
