PM Ponta: Romania can be China's gateway to EU in terms of economic relations

Romania can be an important pillar of stability in a region faced with so much turmoil in the recent time, and also China's gateway to EU in terms of economic relations, with China being the second biggest economy of the world, Prime Minister Victor Ponta on Tuesday stated at a reception organised by the Chinese Embassy in Bucharest.

Government passes budget amendment

The Government of Romania approved in its Tuesday meeting the emergency ordinance projects on the amendment of the state budget and of the social insurance budget, Prime Minister Victor Ponta announced after the meeting.

According to him, it was the first time in years that budget revenues were above the estimates.
