More than a Quarter of the Immigrants in Bulgaria are from Russia
Bulgaria is among the countries of the European Union (EU) with the largest share of immigrants from third countries compared to the population and among those with the smallest share of people from EU countries. This shows data from the European Statistics Office Eurostat for 2015 on the occasion of the International Immigrants Day, which is celebrated on 18 December.
The Population of the Czech Republic Grew Because of the Bulgarians and the Romanians
For the first nine months of 2017, the population of the Czech Republic grew by 18,700 to a total of 10,597,473. The main reason is the migration flow from Ukraine, Slovakia, Romania and Bulgaria, according to the preliminary data of the Czech Statistical Institute, the Czech daily Brno Daily reports.
Europe's Royals to Gather for Romanian Ex-King's Funeral
Members of several European royal houses, as well as royals from as far away as Bahrain and Japan, are set to gather in Bucharest at the end of the week to attend the funeral of Romania's last monarch, King Michael I, who died last week aged 96.
The king died at his modest residence in the village of Aubonne , in Switzerland, after over a year of battling cancer.
3.9 on Richter is Registered in Vrancea
A 3.9-magnitude tremor on the Richter scale is registered in the Vrancea seismic region in eastern Romania at 00.15 hours tonight, according to data from the National Institute of Geophysics.
The earthquake was 128 kilometers deep and was followed by two more quays at 4:52 pm and at 5:45 am, with a magnitude of 2.1 and 2.2 on the Richter scale.
Brnabic: No progress towards EU without regional stability
SOFIA - Full EU membership is Serbia's foreign policy priority and open dialogue is the best framework for solving all open issues - no country will be able to make progress towards the EU without stability in the region, Serbian PM Ana Brnabic said at a meeting with Bulgarian counterpart Boyko Borisov on Thursday.
