Zimonjic, Matkowski reach Indian Wells semis
INDIAN WELLS - Serbia's tennis player Nenad Zimonjic and Marcin Matkowski of Poland secured their spot in semifinals at the BNP Paribas Open in Indian Wells, (California), after beating the double comprising Florin Mergea (Romania) / Dominic Inglot (UK) 4-6, 6-3, 10-3 on Thursday morning (CET).
Italian Police Busts Traffickers of Stolen Medicines Destined to Bulgaria, Romania
Italian police detained eight people for trafficking of medicines, which had been stolen from hospitals and pharmacies in the country, which were destined to Bulgaria, Romania and Albania.
The police seized more than 53 000 packaging of medicines, their value amounting to EUR 1.8 M, 24 Chasa daily reports.
World Poetry Day(s) in Belgrade
BELGRADE - This year's World Poetry Day(s) will be held in Belgrade and Pozega from March 20 to 23, bringing together numerous authors from Serbia and abroad.
In 1999, UNESCO proclaimed March 21 as World Poetry Day which has been celebrated in Serbia since 2001.
This 15th event in a row has several program units that cover both contemporary and classical poetry.

Zimonjic and Matkovski in quarterfinals in men's doubles
INDIAN WELLS - Serbia's Nenad Zimonjic and Poland's Marcin Matkovski have reached the quarterfinals of the men's doubles tournament at the ATP Masters in Indian Wells.
The beat Tanasi Kokinakis of Australia and Andy Murray of the UK 6-1 6-4 on Tuesday.
Their next opponents will be Dominik Inglot of the UK and Romania's Florin Mergea.

World Bank contributes 200 mln euros to ROSE project implemented by Education Ministry
The World Bank's Managing Board approved, on Monday, a loan of 200 million euros for the project ROSE (Romania Secondary Education Project) aimed at increasing the chances for undergraduate students to finish higher education, which will be implemented by the Education Ministry for a period of seven years, a World Bank release informs.
