Zvecan: Sokolica 2014 begins

ZVECAN – The 18th edition of the cultural event Sokolica 2014 has began in the town of Zvecan in northern Kosovo-Metohija (KiM).

The event was opened by President of the Zvecan arts and culture center Slavisa Miljkovic on Monday evening. Also present was Zlata Radovanovic, coordinator of the Serbian government’s KiM Office in Zvecan.

Festival of traditional musical instruments starts Aug 28

IVANJICA - The 19th festival of traditional musical instruments is set to begin on August 28 in the village of Kusici, on the slopes of Mt. Javor near Ivanjica, southwestern Serbia.

International Novi Sad Literature Festival opens on Aug 25

BELGRADE - The 9th International Novi Sad Literature Festival will take place from August 25 to 29, the Association of Writers of Vojvodina announced on Friday.

During the four-day festival, authors from Serbia and abroad will read their poetry and prose at an open-air venue in downtown Novi Sad and take part in panel discussions on modern literature.
