Bojana Jovanovski through to Washington quarter-finals
WASHINGTON - Serbia's Bojana Jovanovski reached the quarter-finals of the Washington WTA tournament early Thursday by beating Sorana Cirstea of Romania 4-6, 7-5, 6-3.
In a bid to reach the semi-finals, Jovanovski will face Marina Erakovic of New Zealand, who beat Shelby Rogers of the United States 6-3, 6-4.

STANFORD - Serbia's Ana Ivanovic reached the second round of the Stanford WTA tournament early Wednesday by beating Sabine Lisicki of Germany 7-6 (6-2), 6-1.
The Serbian will next face Carol Zhao of Canada, who reached the second round after her opponent, Belgium's Yanina Wickmayer, withdrew from the match in the second set due to injury.
