Ministers discuss skills for future at conference in Tirana
BELGRADE - Education ministers and their deputies from Southeastern Europe, including Serbia's Education Minister Srdjan Verbic, gathered in Tirana on Monday for a conference organised by the European Training Foundation (ETF) and sponsored by the Albanian government led by Prime Minister Edi Rama.
Jazz Musicians To Play At Sofia's Brick Roads Music Festival
Jazz musicians from around South Eastern Europe and elsewhere on the continent will be in the Bulgarian capital city for the Brick Roads Sofia Music Festival on October 10 and 11 2014.
The first night of the programme sees the Vasil Hadzimanov Band from Serbia performing at 7pm, followed by Greece's Kostas Theodorou "Lost Anthropology" at 9pm.

SMEDEREVO - The Zelezara Smederevo steelworks will not be closed, Serbian Prime Minister Aleksandar Vucic said on Monday, calling for support from workers in the negotiations aimed at selecting a strategic partner.
Vucic addressed the steel mill's workers after talking with the management and representatives of the relevant trade unions and touring the plant.

World Bank approves loan to aid flood recovery
WASHINGTON -- The World Bank's Board of Executive Directors approved a EUR 227.5 million loan (USD 300 million) for the Floods Emergency Recovery project for Serbia.
It will be used primarily in the sectors of energy, agriculture and infrastructure, the World Bank said on Saturday.
