Serbian programmers win three medals in Taiwan

BELGRADE - Four young programmers from Serbia won three medals at 26th International Olympiad in Informatics that closed in Taipei on Sunday , leader of the Serbian team Nikola Milosavljevic has stated.

The Serbian programmers scooped two silver medals and one bronze at this year's competition whić
brought together 311 participants from 82 countries.

Higher traffic volumes at borders with Bulgaria, Montenegro

BELGRADE - Due to higher traffic volumes at the border crossings Gradina to Bulgaria and Spiljani to Montengro, passenger vehicles are waiting for around 45 minutes to leave Serbia on Sunday.

At the Batrovci border crossing, between Croatia and Serbia, the wait time is estimated at around 90 minutes, the Serbian Interior Ministry stated.

Construction of Bulgarian – Serbian Checkpoint Road Launched

Bulgaria has launched the construction of a new road to the border with Serbia for the opening of a new checkpoint between the two countries.

Law on flood damage repair passed

BELGRADE - Serbian MPs passed a law on flood damage repair in Serbia with a majority of votes on Friday.

The law will come into force a day after it is published in the Official Gazette, and stop being valid after one year.

PKS: Reserves to purchase 100,000 tons of 2014 wheat crop

BELGRADE - The government of Serbia will not wait for a whole year to pass before it submits the report on flood damage repair, which will be mandatory after the law on recovery is passed, as it will be able to file it after three months or sooner, Serbian Minister of Construction, Transport and Infrastructure Zorana Mihajlovic said Friday.
