Logar says EU needs to be united in its attitude to Russia
Brussels – As EU foreign ministers reached a political agreement on Monday to introduce sanctions against the persons responsible for the arrest and prison sentencing of Russian opposition leader Alexei Navalny, Slovenia’s Anže Logar pointed to the need for the EU to be united in its attitude towards Russia.
Slovenia projected to progress to yellow phase in mid-May
Ljubljana – The Jožef Stefan Institute (IJS) has noted that the Covid-19 epidemic in Slovenia is stagnating in terms of the number of positive tests, with the basic reproduction number standing at around one. It projects that the next, yellow phase of restrictions easing could be reached in mid-May.

Slovenians eager to travel as charter flight takes them to Tenerife
Brnik/Ljubljana – Some 180 passengers are due to fry to Tenerife from Slovenia’s main international airporton Sunday, as the first charter flight this year is to be operated from Ljubljana airport by Croatian air carrier Trade Air. Logar and Austrian colleague praise bilateral relations
Vienna – Foreign Minister Anže Logar was on a working visit to Austria to meet his counterpart Alexander Schallenberg. The pair assessed the countries’ relations in the past year as positive and noted the importance of the 100th anniversary of the Carinthian plebiscite in presence of both presidents. UKC Maribor wins first React-EU grant for pulmonary dept
Maribor – Slovenia’s second largest medical centre will get EUR 3.6 million from the European Regional Development Fund for a EUR 4 million investment to move its pulmonary department to a new location in what is the first grant from the React EU crisis response initiative.
