Bulgaria President to Take Over SE European Cooperation Process
Bulgaria's head of state is due to take over from Albania the presidency of the Southeastern European Cooperation Process (SEECP) while on a visit to Tirana on Tuesday, his press office has said.
President Rosen Plevneliev is to take part in a Tuesday summit bringing together all heads of state and government of countries who participate in the SEECP.

Income inequality reaches highest levels since records begin: OECD
Income inequality has reached record highs in most OECD countries and remains at even higher levels in many emerging economies, said the organization in a new report. The richest 10 per cent of the population in the OECD now earn 9.6 times the income of the poorest 10 per cent, up from 7:1 in the 1980s and 9:1 in the 2000s, according to the OECD report.
EU report on water quality finds Greek bathwaters to be “excellent” (interactive map + video)
The EU report on water quality published on Wednesday shows that heavily-indebted Greece and Cyprus boast of some of the most pristine bathing spots. The European Environment Agency that compiles the report found that six nations rated “excellent” in water quality.
Romania Doubles Child Benefit to Boost Population
The lower chamber of the Romanian parliament, the Chamber of Deputies, on Wednesday agreed to double child benefit from 42 lei (some 9.3 euro) to 84 lei per month, in a bid to stimulate population growth. All 322 MPs voted in favour of the law.

Maria-Elena Kyriakou drew “One Last Breath” with her throaty voice and was sent to the 60th Eurovision Song Contest 2015 finals in Vienna, Austria.
She stole the show with her dynamic presence, beauty and of course – voice – getting one of the ten coveted tickets to the Saturday finals. Both the audience and critics said “Yes” to another breath for Greece.

Bulgaria Loses to Croatia at Opening of UEFA European U-17 Championship
The host nation Bulgaria lost at the opening of the UEFA European Under-17 Championship on Wednesday, suffering a 0-2 defeat to Croatia.
The match, which was played at the Beroe stadium in the city of Stara Zagora, was attended by 10 000 spectators and took place right after the official opening ceremony of the tournament.
