Refugee flows to Greek islands continue to increase

The number of refugees and immigrants arriving in Greek islands from Turkey’s shore has not dropped, since 569 immigrants and refugees arrived in Lesvos while the total number of people hosted at hotspots exceeds 2,000.

Overall, 729 people have arrived in Greece, with 569 of them arriving in Lesvos, 83 in Chios and 77 in Samos.

Ex-Defence Minister: Fence at Bulgarian-Greek Border Would Cost BGN 500 M

Socialist MP and former defence minister Angel Naydenov was certain that the expenses on erecting a fence on Bulgaria's border with Greece would exceed BGN 500 M.

About 11,600 people have remained at the camp at Idomeni, on Greece's border with Macedonia, as of Saturday after the Greek authorities started evacuating refugees to nearby camps the day before, AFP reported, citing official Greek figures.
