Turkey eliminated in CEV EuroVolley 2021 semifinals
Concluding their quest for the European crown, the Turkish women's volleyball team on Sept. 3 got eliminated in the semifinals of the CEV EuroVolley 2021, losing to Serbia 3-1.

Serbia struggled against Turkey at the beginning but in the end came out on top, winning the match with 32-34, 28-26, 25-23, and 25-13 sets at Stark Arena in the capital Belgrade.
Turkish actor becomes goalkeeper in Netherlands
Famous Turkish actor Erkan Kolçak Köstengil has become a professional goalkeeper in the Netherlands after leaving Turkey as the well-known TV series, Çukur (The Hole), in which he acted, ended.

"It was my childhood dream to be a goalkeeper," Köstengil said.
Çukur, which first aired on Oct. 23, 2017, ended on June 7 after 131 episodes in four seasons.
Turkey breaks medal record at Tokyo Paralympic Games
Turkish athletes have bagged the 11th medal on the seventh day of the 2020 Tokyo Paralympic Games, surpassing the 10 medal-record in the 2016 Rio Games.

Turkish Paralympic shooter Aysegül Pehlivanlar won a silver medal on Aug. 31 in the P2 women's 10m Air Pistol event. She won with a total of 234.5 points in the final.
Turkish women's volleyball team reach quarterfinals in CEV EuroVolley 2021

F1 announces revised 2021 calendar

The Turkish women's volleyball team beat the Netherlands on Aug. 24, marking its fifth victory in five matches of the group stage in the 2021 CEV Women's European Volleyball Championship (EuroVolley).
