Galatasaray draw 1-1 with Lokomotiv Moscow, sit atop of Group E in Europa League
Galatasaray drew 1-1 with Russian side Lokomotiv Moscow at home on Nov. 4.
Sofiane Feghouli gave the Lions a 1-0 lead in the 43rd minute at Nef Stadium in Istanbul but Francois Kamano scored the equalizer in the 72nd minute.
The Turkish club still remain atop of Group E with eight points.
Lokomotiv Moscow have two points to sit at the bottom of the group.
Beşiktaş lose 4-0 to Sporting CP in Champions League
Beşiktaş suffered a 4-0 defeat by Sporting CP in a UEFA Champions League Group C match on No.v 3 in Portugal.
Pedro Goncalves broke the deadlock with a penalty goal in the 31st minute at Estadio Jose Alvalade in Lisbon.
After seven minutes, Goncalves scored another goal, while João Paulo Dias Fernandes netted Sporting CP's third goal in the 41st minute.
Viktoria Zeynep Güneş wins gold in European Short Course Swimming Championships
Turkey's Viktoria Zeynep Güneş claimed a gold medal at the 2021 European Short Course Swimming Championships on Nov. 2.
She won the gold in the women's 400-meter medley with a time of 4:30.45 in Kazan, Russia.
With her victory, Güneş became the first Turkish athlete to win the gold medal in swimming at the European Championship, which will end on Nov. 7.
Adem Bona chooses UCLA Bruins to shoot hoops
Turkish basketball player Adem Bona announced on Nov. 1 that he will be joining NCAA's UCLA Bruins instead of the Kentucky Wildcats.
In an interview with NBA insider Shams Charania, Bona, the 5-star prospect and a player among the top 25-30 players in the country as determined by scouts and analysts, said he will join the UCLA squad next year.
Galatasaray get precious home win in Turkish league as archrivals lose
Galatasaray on Oct. 31 beat Gaziantep FK 2-0 in a Turkish Spor Toto Süper Lig match for a valuable victory as their archrivals Beşiktaş and Fenerbahçe suffered defeats each in the same week.
The visitors were quite disciplined in defense after the kickoff in Istanbul's Nef Stadium as the Lions managed to break the deadlock just before the break.

Turkish football clubs allowed to accept 100% stadium capacity
Football stadiums in Turkey will return to 100% of their seating capacity by Nov. 9, the Turkish Football Federation (TFF) announced on Oct. 28.
As an anti-pandemic measure, stadiums had been allowing fans at 50% capacity since the beginning of the season on Aug. 13, after most of 2020 saw games played in empty stadiums.
Beşiktaş comeback to beat Galatasaray in derby
Beşiktaş completed a 2-1 comeback to topple city rivals Galatasaray on Oct 25's Istanbul derby in the Turkish Süper Lig.
Galatasaray's Romanian midfielder Alexandru Cicaldau scored the opener from outside the area in the 35th minute to give the 1-0 lead to the visitors at Vodafone Park.
But only four minutes later, Beşiktaş leveled the match.
Fenerbahçe suffer shock 2-1 home defeat against Alanyaspor
Fenerbahçe suffered a shocking 2-1 home defeat against Alanyaspor in the Turkish Super Lig week 10 game on Oct. 24.
Both teams had a quiet first half at the Ülker Stadium, Istanbul as no goals were scored in the first 45 minutes.
In the second half, Alanyaspor drew first blood in the 70th minute with former Galatasaray midfielder Emre Akbaba.
