Tzanakopoulos says foreclosure protection bill satisfies creditors

Following strong disagreements with creditors over the level of protection from foreclosure of debtors' primary residence, government spokesman Dimitris Tzanakopoulos outlined the elements of the bill finally tabled by the government in Parliament on 26 March.

He said the draft legislation will come to a vote within the week.

Bulgaria's Pleven Province to Develop Economic Cooperation with Belarusian Oblasts

Pleven Province of Bulgaria intends to develop trade and economic cooperation with oblasts and cities of Belarus. Concrete areas of cooperation were discussed at a meeting between Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Belarus to Bulgaria Alexander Lukashevich and the authorities of Pleven Province and the city of Pleven, BelTA learned from the Belarusian embassy in Bulgaria.

Georgian Consulate Opens in Blagoevgrad, Bulgaria

A Georgian consulate was opened in Blagoevgrad, a city in south-west Bulgaria earlier in March, reports Georgia Today. 

The opening was marked by a reception attended by Bulgarian officials, diplomats, journalists, Georgian students, Georgia's honorary consul Yuliy Nushev, employees from the Georgian consulate, and representatives from the Diaspora.

Ryanair will Fly the Sofia - Kiev Line

The low-cost airline Ryanair will operate on the international Sofia-Kiev-Sofia air service. The decision is made by the Council of Ministers, the government information service said.

The Irish airline has declared readiness to start regular flights on the line from the beginning of April 2019, with frequencies twice a week on Wednesday and Sunday, the report said.
