Russia crisis ‘chance for Turkish tourism’

The head of Turkey’s top tourism organization says cheaper plane tickets would attract more tourists to Turkey from crisis-hit Russia. The crisis in Europe may create opportunities for the Turkish tourism businesses if airlines reflect the fall in oil prices on their ticket fees, according to Başaran Ulusoy, the head of the country’s leading tourism organization.

More than 20 million tourists in January-October

The total number of foreign visitors to Greece broke the barrier of 20 million in the first 10 months of 2014, reaching 20.8 million according to data released on Tuesday by the Bank of Greece.
