Brawl Reported at Macedonian Party Congress
Albanian-language media in Macedonia have reported an exchange of punches between two rival groups at Tuesday's congress of the DUI in the town of Struga, which apparently left one man in hospital with head injuries.
The party itself has stayed silent. Its spokesperson, Bujar Osmani, was not available for comment on Wednesday. The police said no incident was reported.
Partizan loses to Jug from Dubrovnik
BELGRADE - Partizan lost to Jug from Dubrovnik 5-3 (1-0 2-0 2-3 0-0) in the 2nd round of Group B of the water polo Champions League in Belgrade on Wednesday.
This defeat marks the start of competition for Partizan, since their 1st round match against Galatasaray was postponed. For Jug, this was their second victory.

PLOIESTI - Partizan beat Asesoft 85-65 (23-16 20-16 30-10 12-23) in the last roundof Group E of the basketball Eurocup in Ploiesti on Wednesday.
It was known before the game that Partizan would not be able to qualify for the next round, but the team still played excellently and outplayed their opponents in all aspects.
Ruble rallies in early trading on day of Putin press conference
The ruble rallied in early trading Dec. 18 ahead of President Vladimir Putin's eagerly-awaited annual press-conference, where he is expected to give his views on the financial crisis rocking Russia.
The ruble was trading at around 58 to the dollar and 72 to the euro -- the levels of last Friday -- after closing at 60.65 to the dollar and 75.10.
