A day after a devastating hailstorm hit Sofia, the government has decided to allocate additional BGN 3.4M to the Ministry of Agriculture, BGN 1.2M of which is for anti-hail missiles.

The U.S. Air Force on June 23 temporarily halted flights at a Florida air base of 26 F-35A fighter jets built by Lockheed Martin Corp after a jet caught fire as it was preparing to take off for a training flight, a Pentagon spokesman said.

Turkey’s main opposition leader has claimed that both the president and the prime minister broke their silence over removal of the national flag from an Air Force base in the southeastern province of Diyarbakır only after he “raised hell” over the incident.

The Air Force on Sunday announced it was deploying two more nuclear-capable bombers to Europe on top of the three aircraft sent over last week.

The US Global Strike Command press release, quoted by the Defense One portal, announcing the deployment of two B-2 stealth bombers did not specify a threat that the aircraft were responding to.
