Cross of 12th century Byzantine chapel stolen in southern Turkey

The cross of a 12th century Byzantine chapel, located outside the ancient city of Myra in the southern province of Antalya, has reportedly been stolen. 

Demre District Governor Murat Uz said an investigation has been opened into the theft, and they believe the 20-centimeter long marble cross was stolen in the last three or four days. 

Ancient businessman becomes "honorary member"

Opramoas, a businessman who lived in the ancient city of Rhodiapolis in the southern province of Antalya's Kumluca district in the 2nd century A.D. and was known as an important civic benefactor, has become a "honorary member" of the Antalya Industrialists and Businessmen Association (ANS?AD) upon the application of Professor Nevzat Çevik.

It is expected that this figure reached 2.8 million by the end of the year.
