Albanian Police Arrested in International Anti-Drug Trafficking Raids

Among those arrested are both current and former Albanian police officers. SPAK described two of the arrested as officers who "at the time when they carried out their illegal activities in 2016 were members of the staff of the [then] Minister of Interior".

"At around 14:30, on Kavaja Street, a citizen entered the premises of a religious cult (mosque) and in still unclear circumstances injured five citizens with a sharp tool," the police said in a press release.

Albanian Police Seize ‘Arsenal’ After Raiding Illegal Weapons Depots
Albanian Police seized 18 illegal weapons bases on Thursday in the capital, Tirana, which they believe are connected to organised crime groups and arrested five people. Another two were declared wanted.
The police operation, codenamed "Complex", also helped uncover three past unsolved crimes related to guns and explosives.

Turkey Donates Armoured cars to Albania
Turkey donated armoured vehicles and equipment which will be used by Albanian rapid response teams, Anadolu Agency reports.
During a ceremony in Tirana, Turkey's Deputy Interior Minister Mehmet Ersoy said Ankara saw this as a brotherly gesture, not as a grant.

Montenegro Urged to Punish Border Policeman’s Killers
The assistant director of the Montenegrin Police Directorate, Nikola Janjusevic, said after the killing of the police officer on Sunday that the attackers must face justice.
Montenegro border police officer Milutin Lekovic was shot in the head in the resort town of Igalo, not far from Croatia, during the arrest of three foreign nationals who did not have any documents.
