More than 1,500 passengers, mostly from Algeria, Tunisia and Jordan, who have been stranded at Istanbul Airport, have been transferred to an emptied student dormitory in the northern province of Karabük.

Those passengers have been stuck at the airport for days after their countries closed airspace and flights were canceled because of the coronavirus pandemic.

Algeria, like Libya, is often a country seen by illegal migrants to work. Last month Algeria planned to grant residency and job permits to the migrants, in order to fill jobs in the farming and construction industries.

Algeria to donate USD 500,000 for post-flood effort

BELGRADE -- A memorandum of understanding was signed on Friday on an Algerian government donation worth USD 500,000 for reconstruction Serbia's water management sector.

BELGRADE - The head of the Serbian Government Office for Reconstruction and Flood Relief Marko Blagojevic and Algerian Ambassador to Serbia Abdelkader Mesdoua on Friday signed a memorandum of understanding under which the Algerian government will donate USD 500,000 for post-flood reconstruction and recovery in the water management sector.

BELGRADE - The Serbian government adopted at its Tuesday session the bill of amendments to the Law on Court Taxes which proposes new court tax figures for public notary tasks.

As an interim solution, the basic courts will perform public notary tasks in municipalities where public notaries have not been appointed yet, the Serbian government for Cooperation with the Media released.
