Parallel vote count at 100% by Alpha Research: GERB-UDF win 25.2% of the votes; “There Is Such a People” comes second with 17.1%

Parallel vote count at 100% by Alpha Research polling agency shows that Boyko Borrisov's GERB-Union of Democratic Forces coalition has won 25.2% share of the votes in Bulgaria's parliamentary elections, held on April 4.

The party of the TV presenter, Slavi Trifonov "There is Such a People" is second with 17.1%.

Borissov criticized Radev's decision, saying it was hard to know how the pandemic would unfold by late March and implying that elections should be delayed.

„It was quite difficult to collect information about the work of the National Assembly during the outgoing year but it is extremely important on the eve of the parliamentary election," told the Bulgarian National Radio Iva Lazarova from the Institute for Public Environment Development commenting on what the lawmakers have done and how much money they've spent in 2020.

48% of Bulgarians will Vote in the European Elections

According to a survey by Alpha Research polling agency, at the end of December 48% of the Bulgarians said they would vote in the European elections. Every second from the rest will either not vote or has not yet decided how to proceed. The survey was conducted from 14 to 19 December among a nationally representative sample of 1,027 adult Bulgarians, reports BNT. 

40% of Bulgarians – For EU, 22% - For Eurasian Union

Forty percent of Bulgarians are pro-EU, while 22% would like Bulgaria to join the Russia-led Eurasian Union, shows a survey of the Alpha Research agency. 

The question Alpha Research asked the respondents in the end of April was “If today was held a referendum for the joining of Bulgaria to the EU or the Eurasian Union, which would you choose?”
