Deputy Prime Minister Bülent Ar?nç has claimed that racism and anti-Semitism have never found root in in Turkey, speaking during his visit to the northwestern province of Edirne for the opening of the renovated Great Synagogue.
Sneijder talks tough for Turkey match
Dutch midfielder and captain Wesley Sneijder says the Netherlands want a win against Turkey in their UEFA Euro 2016 qualification match in Amsterdam on March 28, despite the squad being dogged by injuries.

'Obese cat' in Turkey loses 5.5 kg in 4 months
A fat cat in western Turkey has shed more than five kilograms in four months after its owner hospitalized the pet.
Named "Ta? Kafa" (Stone Head), referring to a Turkish expression for a dumb person, the five-year-old cat was recently taken to the animal treatment center of Nilüfer district in the Bursa province by its owner.

Turkish companies to gain $16 bln from nuclear projects

Turkish markets, lira firmer on Fed meeting
Turkish markets recovered on March 19, with the Turkish Lira at its firmest in two weeks and stocks rallying as investors back into emerging markets after the U.S. Federal Reserve (Fed) sounded a cautious tone on the timing of rate hikes.
The lira rebounded to 2.5610 to the dollar earlier in the session, its firmest since the beginning of March.

Gov't to form monitoring committee for Kurdish peace process
The government has decided to establish a monitoring committee of five to six persons to oversee the implementation of the Kurdish peace process, a senior government official has said, noting that the final decision on its composition and mandate will be given next week by the prime minister.

Turkish military starts training missions in Iraq, Syria
Turkish Special Forces are training Sunni forces in Iraq, as well as Turkmens in Syria, Turkish officials have confirmed.
The training mission was first revealed by Asil Nujaifi, the governor of Mosul, in an interview with Anadolu Agency on March 15.
