The Anglican Church in Athens is hosting its annual Christmas bazaar at the Aegli venue at Zappeion, central Athens, on Sunday, December 4. Doors open from 11 a.m. to 3.30 p.m. Visitors will be able to purchase gifts at affordable prices, as well as Christmas crackers and decorations, jewelry, homemade cakes and preserves, books, toys and much more. Entrance is free.

Going to church on Sundays is generally associated to a solemn esoteric experience, with a choir chanting and in some cases the scent of incense permeating the gathering. But some of the younger members of these traditional congregations find this atmosphere very boring and unappealing.

Serbian Patriarch's UK Visit Recalls World War I
Serbian Patriarch Irinej concluded a four-day visit to England on Sunday, which marked the 100th anniversary of a dramatic visit by Serbian clergy to London at the height of World War I that did much to cement Anglo-Serbian friendship.
His visit coincided with - and has been overshadowed by - a more controversial visit to London by the Russian Orthodox Patriarch, however.

The Greek-born multi-instrumentalist is also an avid traveler, whose solo performance is inspired by a seven-month journey to China.
