Tourists fed up with traffic in Antalya
Long waiting time in traffic has been one of the most common complaints of visitors coming to the tourism hotspot of Antalya, which hosts millions of domestic and foreign holidaymakers annually, this tourism season.
Sixteen million tourists are expected to visit Antalya this year, breaking the all-time tourism record of 2019.

Russians’ holiday bookings for Türkiye on rise
Russian tourists' bookings for holidays in Türkiye, especially in Antalya, have increased by 20 percent in the past few weeks compared with April and May, Turkish daily Milliyet has reported.
Russian holidaymakers had delayed vacation plans due to the ongoing war and elevated inflation which eroded their purchasing power. Russians were looking for alternative destinations to Türkiye.

Türkiye offers second cheapest holiday to Germans
Türkiye is the second cheapest holiday destination for German tourists after Albania, Recep Yavuz, from the Antalya City Council's Tourism Working Group, has said, citing a recent study by Germany's Federal Statistics Office (Destatis).
The study compares holiday destinations based on accommodation costs and daily expenditure.

Turkish citizens living abroad have taken the fifth place after Russians, Germans, British and Poles who visited the southern province of Antalya the most in 2022, leaving behind the number of expats witnessed in 2019.

Tourists flock to Antalya during Easter holiday
Foreign tourists have flocked to the Turkish province of Antalya on the Mediterranean coast to spend their Easter holiday.
In April 2020, only 905 holidaymakers arrived in the tourist hotspot, but in the first two weeks of this month alone, Antalya already welcomed 300,000 travelers, up from 178,000 visitors in the whole of April last year.

Night-time illumination proposed in Antalya
Tourism professionals in the southern province of Antalya have suggested "lighting" to make museums and ruins more attractive for tourists who don't want to go out of the hotel in 40-degree heat in summer.
They stated that the number of visitors to museums and ruins would increase if these places were opened after being illuminated in the evening.

Some 307,000 Russian tourists flock to Antalya in 2 weeks
Over the last two weeks, the Mediterranean resort city of Antalya, the pearl of the Turkish Riviera, welcomed over 307,000 Russian tourists, according to official data.
A total of 1,095 airplanes from Russia landed at Antalya Airport in the last two weeks, said Provincial Culture and Tourism Directorate data released Monday.
Report warns of air pollution for Antalya
A report from the city council of the southern province of Antalya on air quality has revealed that air pollution in the city exceeds both national and the European Union limit values.
The Antalya City Council prepared a report titled "The Status and Recommendations of Air Quality in Antalya," based on measurements taken between 2008 and 2015, Doğan News Agency reported on March 12.
