‘Tragic Period in Croatian History’ Commemorated at Jasenovac Camp

Prime Minister Andrej Plenkovic told the annual commemoration at Jasenovac on Thursday that the Independent State of Croatia, NDH, a fascist puppet state run by the Ustasa movement and supported by Nazi Germany and Fascist Italy, was "one of the most tragic periods in Croatian history".

Wartime Killing of Serb Family Commemorated in Croatia

The Anti-Fascist League of Croatia held a memorial event on Monday evening for the three murdered members of the Zec family on Sljeme Hill above Zagreb, where they were killed by Croatian reservist policemen during the war in December 1991 - a crime that remains unpunished.

On the 29th anniversary of their deaths, activists laid flowers and lit candles near the site of the killings.

Serbs insulted at peaceful protest in Glina

GLINA - Serbs were verbally attacked and insulted during a peaceful protest against the decision of the local government in Glina, central Croatia, to ban memorial services and commemorations at the site where the Orthodox Church of the Nativity of the Holy Virgin once stood and in which Croatian Nazi troops Ustashas massacred 1,500 Serbs back in 1941.
