Qatar backs Turkey over bombing raids in northern Iraq
Qatar has broken ranks with the Arab League to give close ally Turkey its full support for air strikes in northern Iraq, according to an official foreign ministry statement.

Egypt, Saudi mull joint exercise amid Yemen air war
Egypt and Saudi Arabia are considering holding joint military manoeuvres in the kingdom as the allies carry out air strikes in its neighbour Yemen, President Abdel Fattah al-Sisi's office said.
Other Gulf Arab countries would also participate, the Egyptian president's office said late Tuesday.

United Nations Secretary General Ban Ki-moon arrived in Baghdad on March 30 for talks with Iraqi Prime Minister Haider al-Abadi and other top officials.

Arab leaders have agreed to form a joint military force, Egyptian President Abdel Fattah al-Sisi announced on March 29 on the second day of a summit.
"The Arab leaders had decided to agree on the principle of a joint Arab military force," Sisi said in a speech at the summit held in the Egyptian resort town of Sharm el-Sheikh.
