A memorial event to remember those who went missing during the 1992-95 Bosnian war and to mark the Day of the Disappeared was held in the town of Mostar on Monday by the Missing Persons Institute of Bosnia and Herzegovina and war victims' associations from all over the country.

The 27th anniversary of the killings of 26 Bosnian Croats in Buhine Kuce on January 9, 1994 will be marked on Saturday with a Catholic mass and the laying of flowers at the local cemetery.

And these include shedding light on the fate of the Serbs killed and disappeared in Kosovo and Metohija, the first deputy PM and Foreign Minister said on February 17, according to the government.

Because of this, families of Serb victims have requested an urgent reaction from international officials.

Veljko Odalovic was not permitted to enter after being kept for several hours at the Jarinje administrative crossing, representatives of the Association of Families of Missing, Kidnapped and Killed Persons in Kosovo and Metohija said in a statement on Friday.

Members of Association of Families of Kidnapped and Murdered in Kosovo have covered the inscription on the Monument of Gratitude to France with a black cloth.

The inscription reads, "We love France as it loved us, 1914-1918."

BELGRADE - The Association of Families of the Kidnapped and Murdered in Kosovo-Metohija from 1998 to 2000 has welcomed the request of the War Crime Prosecutor's Office in Belgrade to investigate another location in Batajnica, Belgrade suburban area, which could be a mass grave of ethnic Albanians killed in the 1999 conflicts in Kosovo-Metohija.

BELGRADE - The War Crimes Prosecutor's Office and the Association of Families of Kidnapped and Missing Persons in Kosovo-Metohija (KiM) requested on Friday that the special court for war crimes committed in the territory of KiM should be set up as soon as possible so that the offenders could finally be identified and convicted.
