After scientists in Athens sounded the alarm on Monday over a 205% increase in the presence of the SARS-CoV-2 virus that causes Covid-19 in raw sewage in the Greek capital scientists from Aristotle University said on Tuesday that a similar trend is emerging in the northern port city of Thessaloniki as well.
One killed, 10 injured in suspected migrant smuggling van crash
A van suspected of smuggling migrants in Kozani, northern Greece, crashed during a police chase in the early hours of Friday, with preliminary reports saying that one passenger was killed and 10 injured.
Parliamentary debate on territorial waters extension given extra day
A debate in Parliament on a Foreign Ministry bill extending Greece's territorial waters in the Ionian Sea was granted an additional day, with the vote now expected on Wednesday instead of Tuesday.
According to the Athens-Macedonian News Agency, the discussion was extended to two days from one to give lawmakers wishing to present their position on the issue ample time to do so.

Kilometer-based tolls on Olympia Odos as of January

Rhodes planning to control deer overpopulation
The number of "platoni," a subspecies of fallow deer (Dama dama), living in forested areas of the southeastern Aegean island of Rhodes has jumped from around 200 a few years ago to more than 5,000, according to a recent census conducted as part of a plan for their management, in response to the problem caused by their overpopulation, mainly in terms of crop damage.
