Traffic Police Operation For the Control of Trucks and Buses is Carried Out on the Territory of Bulgaria

From May 19 to May, a traffic police operation for the control of trucks and buses is carried out on the territory of the country. It is part of the calendar of TISPOL, the European Traffic Police Network, and similar actions take place in the territory of all Member States.

Checks will continue until February 24th, reported Nova TV. 

From 24 February to 24 February there will be a traffic police operation for the control of trucks and buses. It is part of the TISPOL calendar - the European Traffic Police Network - and similar action takes place in the territory of all Member States.

Clashes between Protesters and Police Outside Bulgarian Parliament

Bulgarian Bus Carriers are Protesting

Around 250 buses from around the country and about 50 heavy trucks will participate in today's national protest in Sofia against the prepared bill for the establishment of the Bulgarian Automobile Chamber, reports Bgnes. 

According to the carriers, this Chamber will not solve the problems in their sector, but will deepen them. The transport of passengers will not be discontinued.

А Police Operation of TISPOL Will Begin Today in Bulgaria

From October 15 to October, enhanced control over trucks and buses will be carried out on the territory of Bulgaria and all EU Member States, reported BGNES.

The inspections, part of a TISPOL operation - the European network of the traffic police services - will also include employees of the Automobile Administration Executive Agency.

Automobile Administration Agency Officials from Pleven Charged with Abuse of Office

Nikolay Nikolov, and Georgi Matsin, director and deputy director of a regional unit of Bulgaria's Automobile Administration Executive Agency (AAEA), have been charged with abuse of office.

The prosecuting authority also pressed charges against an owner of a transport company, Ilko Iliev.

Private Companies to Organize Driving License Tests – Agency Head

Bulgaria's Automobile Administration Executive Agency (AAEA) has proposed that driver's license exams be conducted by private companies.

Dimitar Ganev, AAEA Director, emphasized that the proposal did not rule out state participation and that the state would remain in charge of external control.
