Greens dedicate second win over Reds to Pavlos Giannakopoulos

Panathinaikos imposed itself on Olympiakos for the second time in the day to win Game 3 of the Basket League finals with a 73-58 score on Sunday and lead 2-1 in the series.

The Greens require one more win in the best-of-five finals to clinch one more league title, with Game 4 set to take place on Thursday in Piraeus.

Panathinaikos cancels out Reds' away win with another victory in Piraeus

Order has been restored as Panathinaikos regained the home advantage in the Basket League play-off finals on Thursday beating Olympiakos 71-66 in Piraeus, for its fourth consecutive victory at its rival's home court. The best-of-five final series is now tied at 1-1.

Greens and Reds advance to one more league final

The finals of the Basket League will feature Panathinaikos and Olympiakos for a 13th year in succession, this time with champion Panathinaikos having home advantage, after both teams swept their opponents with a 3-0 score in the semifinals on Tuesday.

The best-of-five finals will begin on Sunday, June 3, at the Olympic Sports Hall, with the games scheduled on Thursdays and Sundays.

PAOK dumps AEK out of play-offs; Promitheas in Europe

PAOK dumped Basketball Champions League winner AEK out of the Basket League semifinals and Promitheas Patras will play in Europe for the first time in its history, as the best-of-three first round of the play-offs ended for all pairs after Game 2 on Saturday. Panathinaikos and Olympiakos strolled through.

Korivos loses to relegated Trikala and goes down

Panionios needed a miracle to remain in the Basket League, and that is exactly what happened in the last round of the regular season on Sunday: Korivos Amaliadas lost at home to already relegated Trikala and followed it on the way down to the A2 division. Also on Sunday Kolossos earned the last ticket to the play-offs and Panathinaikos finished the entire regular season unbeaten.
