National Public Health Organisation releases data from study of COVID-19 variants in Greece
Greece's National Public Health Organisation (EODY) today announced results from an analysis of 955 confirmed SARS-CoV-2 samples in Greece conducted by the Greek Genome Centre.
The samples were collected between 29 March and 20 May, 2021, and the results include a geographic breakdown of where the particular variants are concentrated.
Alarm sounded over virus mutations
Amid global concern over the emergence of mutated strains of the coronavirus, the Health Ministry in Athens has announced the creation of a nationwide network for the systematic monitoring of these variants.

EBRD to support Precision Medicine project in Athens
The Biomedical Research Foundation (BRFAA) of the Academy of Athens on Wednesday signed a cooperation agreement with the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD) for the support of the former's new Precision Medicine Infrastructure Project.
