The screening of a National Geographic Channel programme in the Morgan Freeman series 'The Story of Us' has sparked accusations of anti-Serb bias and counter-accusations alleging that wartime crimes are being denied.

The former military commander of Bosnian Serb forces, General Ratko Mladic, may die within the next few days, his lawyer Dragan Ivetic said on Thursday.

The UN tribunal in The Hague convicted him on 10 of the 11 charges.

Former Bosnian Serb commander Ratko Mladic was dragged out of his judgement hearing on Nov. 22, after he started shouting at war crimes judges that they were lying.

Former Bosnian Serb fighter Radomir Susnjar was indicted for taking part in a massacre in which 57 Bosniak civilians were burned alive in a house in Visegrad in 1992.

Journalist Dragan Bursac - who received death threats after criticizing a planned rally in Banja Luka in support of Ratko Mladic - told BIRN that he had been forced to go into hiding for some time.

He had reported the death threats he has received to the police, he added.

A Bosnian Serb organisation sparked anger by announcing it will install a memorial in Srebrenica to the former Russian ambassador to the UN, Vitaly Churkin, who vetoed a Srebrenica genocide resolution.

A Bosnian Serb political party, the National Democratic Movement, NDP, said on Monday that it will file a criminal lawsuit against the Bosniak member of the country's presidency, Bakir Izetbegovic, for circumventing state institutions to file a request for the revision of Bosnia's genocide lawsuit against Serbia at eth International Court of Justice.
