British-Slovenian Chamber of Commerce
Trade between Slovenia and the UK remains brisk despite obstacles that are the result of Brexit. Britain remains an attractive destination for Slovenian companies due to its openness to innovation, premium prices, a large market, connections with the rest of the world, and a reliable business environment.
Ljubljana – The volume of cars on roads will be increasing rapidly in the coming years, so the development of zero-emissions vehicles will be key, heard a debate held by the British-Slovenian Chamber of Commerce on Thursday. The participants, including the UK’s Minister of State for Trade Policy Greg Hands, agreed that technological development was thus vital.
Ljubljana – Barbara Uranjek, director of the British-Slovenian Chamber of Commerce, has welcomed an agreement on future relations between the UK and EU. She urged companies to prepare in time for coming Brexit-related changes. The Chamber of Commerce and Industry sees the deal as a pleasant surprise and analyst Peter Verovšek considers it a win for the EU.
The British-Slovenian Chamber of Commerce and the Evropa Misli think tank have established the Brexit Ambition initiative which aims to identify potential difficulties which businesses will encounter as a result of the exit of the UK from the EU. The initiative is also preparing position papers for presentation to the Slovenian Government.
