Bulgarian MPs rejected a proposal of the opposition Socialist Party, which would have tasked Prime Minister Boyko Borissov and Foreign Minister Daniel Mitov with asking the European Council to remove Russian MPs from the EU travel black lists.
The black list was drawn up in protest against Russia's annexation of Crimea from Ukraine.

Bulgarian MPs Appoints New Members of Media Watchdog
Two members of the Council for Electronic Media (CEM), the broadcast media watchdog of Bulgaria, have been elected by Parliament, local media report.
No debates have been held prior to the election.
The two members, Sofiya Vladimirova and Rozita Mihaylova-Elenova, were proposed by the biggest party GERB and the Bulgarian Democratic Center (BDC) respectively.
Bulgaria Parliament Backs Introduction of Online Voting
Lawmakers have overwhelmingly given the green light to the introduction of online voting in all elections and referendums.
As many as 137 MPs have voted in favour, 55 giving the thumbs down and citing concerns about voting secrecy.
Under a draft proposal yet to be completed by Parliament, every Bulgarian citizen should be able to vote using the Internet "or another network".
Bulgaria's 6th Largest Parliament Group Dissolved
The sixth-biggest group in Bulgaria's Parliament dissolved itself on Friday after five of the MPs belonging to it submitted requests to leave it.
Previously, the lawmakers had threatened to quit unless a name dispute is settled.

Five Bulgarian MPs to Quit Party Group
Five Bulgarian lawmakers from the Bulgarian Democratic Center (BDC)'s parliamentary group are to submit their requests to leave it, one of the MPs has said.
BDC was set up by lawmakers who were previously part of a coalition led by MEP Nikolay Barekov and made it into Parliament within an alliance led by his Bulgaria without Censorship party.
