Russia Expelled more Bulgarian Diplomats

Russia has declared diplomats from the Bulgarian embassy in Moscow undesirable, the Russian Foreign Ministry said. Later, the news was confirmed by the Bulgarian Foreign Ministry.

The measure is in response to the expulsion of 10 Russian diplomats from Bulgaria in March.

The note for the expulsion was handed to our ambassador in Russia Atanas Krastin.

Moscow Strikes Back: Bulgarian Top Diplomat Expelled from Russia

Russia is expelling the Bulgarian military attache's aide Lieutenant-Colonel Mitko Borisov in retaliation for the expulsion of a Russian diplomat from Sofia. A note to this effect was handed to Bulgaria's ambassador in Moscow Atanas Krastin, who was summoned to the Russian Foreign Ministry on Monday.

A Bulgarian Parliamentary Delegation is Visiting Moscow

A Bulgarian delegation led by National Assembly President Tsveta Karayancheva is on an official visit to Moscow.

Meetings of Bulgarian MPs in the Federation Council and the State Duma, as well as talks with Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov, are forthcoming.

Last night at the Bulgarian Embassy in Moscow, MPs met with representatives of the Bulgarian community.  

Russia Is Strategic Partner in Tourism for Bulgaria, Angelkova Tells TASS

Bulgaria's Tourism Minister Nikolina Angelkova said on Friday that Russia is a partner of strategic importance in the area of tourism for her country, TASS reported.

"An extremely frank dialogue has been established between our countries, which favors expanding and deepening of relations in the tourism sector," Angelkova said in an interview with the Russian news agency.
