Romania's government has approved the signing of a memorandum with Bulgaria on the construction of the two bridges, according to news agencies Adjepress and Mediafax, as cited by the Bulgarian Telegraph Agency.

Simeon Djankov: EU Likely to Lessen Sanctions on Russia

The EU is likely to lessen sanctions imposed on Russia in response to the limiting of hostilities in Ukraine, former Bulgarian government official Simeon Djankov argued Thursday.

"If we reach a position of frozen conflict, then we can discuss how we and the Russians can work together," Russian news agency RIA quoted him as saying.

Yields Fall on Bulgaria's Seven-year Government Bonds

Yileds fell at Tuesday's auction of seven-year euro-denominated Bulgarian government bonds as the offer was heavily oversubscribed.

The Finance Ministry said on Wednesday it has reopened  the issued dated 30 April 2014, offering EUR 35 M worth of government bonds.

The average weighted annual ayield dropped to 2.20% from 2.26% at the previous reopening  on May 26.
