Bulgarian Outsourcing Association

The outsourced industry is among the best employers in Bulgaria. The outsourcing sector in Bulgaria accounts for 2.4% of the country's labor market, employing more than 67,300 people, and by 2021 their number is expected to exceed 79,000 people. This shows the data from the last annual report on the development of the Bulgarian Outsourcing Association's industry, quoted by technews.bg.

The 1st Southeast European Innovation, Technology and Sourcing Summit took place with the active support of the Small and Medium Enterprises Promotion Agency and with great interest from the business.

„Over the past 12 months, our team has helped nearly 1,800 companies to find new foreign partners and expand their operations across borders.

It is for the first time that the Executive Agency for Promotion of Small and Medium-Sized Enterprises will partner with the Bulgarian Outsourcing Association in organizing the 1st Southeast Europe Innovation Technology and Sourcing Summit.

Over 67 300 Bulgarians work in the outsourcing sector, which forms 2.4% of the labor market in Bulgaria. By 2021 the number of people employed is expected to exceed 79,000 people. This is shown by the data from the Annual Report on the Industry Development of the Bulgarian Outsourcing Association (BAA). 

The outsourcing industry in Bulgaria is developing at a steady pace - from 2016 compared to 2017 it had encreased almost double and the same is expected in 2018 compared to 2017. This was said by Ivaylo Slavov, a newly elected chairman of the Bulgarian Outsourcing Association and CEO of Bulropes.

About 20,000 professionals are needed for the outsourcing industry. This was announced by the Bulgarian Outsourcing Association. In addition to speaking several languages, applicants for this sector must already have specific skills and knowledge.
 

For the seventh consecutive year, the outsourcing industry has double-digit growth and now accounts for 3.6% of Bulgaria's GDP. This is stated in the Report on the Bulgarian Outsourcing Industry 2017, prepared by the Bulgarian Outsourcing Association (BAA). The share of the services sector in GDP has grown steadily in recent years, with 2.8% in 2014 and 3.4% in 2015.

Bulgaria's Education Ministry and the country's software companies associations signed Thursday a deal hoping to boost the links between the education and market needs in the ever growing IT industry.

An international outsourcing forum is due on 22 November, 2016 in Plovdiv, Bulgaria's second-biggest city.

The event, co-organized by consultancy services organization Industry Watch for a third year in a row, is named "Outsourcing Destination Bulgaria: Technonology, Innovation, Disruption".
