Bulgarian Defence Committee Approved Negotiating Mandate for Acquiring F-16 Aircrafts
The Bulgarian Parliament's defence committee approved on January 15 the government proceeding for a start of negotiations with the United States on acquiring F-16 fighter jets, reports BNT.
The committee vote was held a day before the Parliament will vote on the mandate for the government to hold negotiations with the US on getting the aircarfts.
48% of Bulgarians will Vote in the European Elections
According to a survey by Alpha Research polling agency, at the end of December 48% of the Bulgarians said they would vote in the European elections. Every second from the rest will either not vote or has not yet decided how to proceed. The survey was conducted from 14 to 19 December among a nationally representative sample of 1,027 adult Bulgarians, reports BNT.
Parliament's Budget Committee Rejected President's Veto on Tax Laws
Parliament's budget committee members on 15th of November rejected the President's veto on tax laws. The MPs from the ruling coalition of GERB and United Patriots voted against the heads of state's remarks. The veto was supported by the opposition Bulgarian Socialist Party (BSP) and from the Movement for Rights and Freedoms (MRF).
Sociologists: People Are Giving Their Trust more to the Bulgarian Socialist Party, Than to GERB
People are giving their trust more to the Bulgarian Socialist Party (BSP) than to Boyko Borissov's GERB. This shows a study by the AFIS sociological agency. It was done between November 2 and 7, and 1010 Bulgarians took part in it.
According to sociologists, 23.7% of Bulgarians sympathize with the BSP and 22.2% with the ruling GERB party.
