The Parliament has rejected in first reading amendments to the Election Code proposed by ruling Citizens for European Development of Bulgaria (GERB). 98 MPs voted in support, 121 voted against, while 1 abstained, FOCUS News Agency reported.

''Bulgarian Socialist Party (BSP) will file a complaint with the Constitutional Court, seeking the annulment of some texts of the public finances law, as the government is distributing funds mainly towards municipalities of the ruling party Citizens for European Development of Bulgaria (GERB)'', BSP leader Korneliya Ninova told reporters, quoted by FOCUS News Agency.

''We want the national security strategy to be updated'', said on Sunday Kornelia Ninova, leader of The Bulgarian Socialist Party (BSP), FOCUS News Agency reports. 

''The national security is a topic that should unite us, but it is extremely important on what basis we seek the agreement and on what basis we offer it'', said Ninova.

''Bulgaria has not expressed an official position on the upcoming referendum on the independence of Iraqi Kurdistan'', Prime Minister Boyko Borisov told the Parliament in response to a question about a meeting with Masoud Barzani, President of the Iraqi Kurdistan Region.

Deputy Prime Minister Valeri Simeonov will file a complaint against the spokesperson of opposition Bulgarian Socialist Party (BSP), Elena Yoncheva, over what he called crimes against the national interests and security,  FOCUS News Agency reported.

The Bulgarian Socialist Party (BSP) has demanded the resignation of the Parliament's president, Dimitar Glavchev.

''The Parliament has not been working for six weeks now because the government and the ruling majority have no programme for governance and legislation'', BSP leader Korneliya Ninova told journalists, quoted by FOCUS News Agency.

''The government will face the opposition's insisting on the implementation of all decisions taken at today's Consultative Council of National Security.

The Parliament has approved the resignation of its member Kiril Dobrev, Bulgarian Socialist Party (BSP), FOCUS News Agency reported.

The resignation was approved with 182 votes in favour, 2 against and 2 abstentions.

''There is no way I can resign'', said Deputy PM in charge of economic and demographic policy and co-chair of the United Patriots coalition Valeri Simeonov during NovaTV show Hello Bulgaria, quoted by FOCUS news agency.

Bulgarian Deputy PM Valeri Simeonov will sue Sega newspaper for publishing false information. This became known during an extraordinary briefing at the Burgas Regional Administration, FOCUS Radio - Burgas reported.

Simeonov stated that the newspaper was spreading negative propaganda against him, manipulating an interview with him.
