EU Commission Ends Infringement Procedure Against Bulgaria on Air Pollution
The European Commission (EC) took a decision to end the infringement procedure against Bulgaria, which had been launched after the country failed to fulfill its commitments on limiting air pollution.
The news was announced by the press service of Bulgaria's Ministry of Environment and Waters on Friday.

Torrential Rains Kill One Near Bulgaria's Gabrovo
A 61-year-old woman was killed and her 39-year-old son went missing after the torrential rains on Monday night, report the Bulgarian-language media.
According to Gabrovo mayor Tanya Hristova, the ground floors of houses in villages in Gabrovo region were flooded. Electricity and water supply have been cut off.
Water supply in the Gabrovo industrial zone is also disrupted.

Bulgaria's Ministry of Environment and Waters has warned on Monday of possible sudden local floods in the next few days.
Based on the current meteorological situation, the levels of the rivers Arda, Maritsa and Tundzha are expected to go up on Monday and Tuesday.
