Home textile exports hit $5 billion
The Turkish home textile industry's export revenues stood at $5 billion last year, according to Hasan Hüseyin Bayram, head of the Home Textile Association (TETSİAD).
Local and international home textile companies met at the HOMETEX fair, which is being held between May 16 and 20.
This fair is expected to boost exports by 20 to 25 percent, said Bayram.

Türkiye to host first Int’l Space Convention
International Space Convention, one of the world's most prestigious space events, will be held for the first time in Türkiye, with the key players of the industry gathering in the northwestern province of Bursa.
The convention organized by Altair Enterprises, will be conducted in GUHEM, the space and aviation training center, between Sept. 9 and 11.

First space training center to open in northwestern Turkey
Turkey is set to open a new training center for space enthusiasts and young people who consider going forward with such a career path.
The Gökmen Space and Aviation Training Center (GUHEM), Turkey's first space training base project will open its doors in the northwestern city of Bursa on April 23.
Turkish, German companies join forces abroad
Turkish and German companies are working on several joint ventures on other continents, the head of the Foreign Economic Relations Board of Turkey (DEIK) said Feb. 18.
At an event in the industrial hub of Bursa, Nail Olpak spoke about Turkey and Germany's collaboration agreement and said the two were focused on business opportunities in third countries in Africa and the Middle East.
