Cabinet of Ministers

The Cabinet of Ministers has presented a project to the Parliament for investment spending aimed at acquiring IRIS anti-aircraft missile systems from Germany. Bulgaria has announced plans to purchase one IRIS-T SLM system at a total cost of 182,114,311 euros (356,184,633 leva).

Today, "We Continue the Change - Democratic Bulgaria" (WCC-DB) proposed the implementation of the second mandate with a prime minister from GERB, along with signing an agreement on reforms in the judicial system, security services, and regulators. However, Boyko Borissov's party (GERB) rejected this proposal.

The leader of the parliamentary faction of the Servant of the People party of Ukraine, David Arahamiya, said that the government should have submitted a draft law on mobilization to the parliament.
It calls for the recruitment of 500,000 military personnel.

The Czech government in an emergency meeting on Monday approved measures to limit the price of electricity and gas for households, small and medium-sized enterprises and public institutions. This was announced to journalists by Prime Minister Petr Fiala.

"I would prefer debates on this subject on our foreign relations meeting, that is, on the meeting attended by the President, the Speakers of both Houses of Parliament, the Prime Minister, the Head of Diplomacy and the Minister of Police. Our positions do not match. I will wait for the debate, and then take some stance on it", the prime minister told reporters.

The Cabinet of Ministers has voted an additional BGN 50 million in the budget of the Ministry of Health for raising the salaries of nurses and healthcare professionals, it became known at the beginning of the regular session of the government. Starting salaries for both groups will be 950 leva, reports Dnevnik. 

At 13:00 hours before the Cabinet of Ministers, environmentalists meet to ask cancel the decision after which they believe that the government gives much more opportunities for construction in the mountain, Nova TV reported.

''I hope Britain will return to the EU.'' Prime Minister Boyko Borissov said in a statement to the Cabinet of Ministers following a meeting with the chief negotiator of the EU's accession to the EU Michel Barnier, FOCUS News Agency reported.

The Bulgarian government approved the resignation of the deputy chairperson of the State Agency for National Security (DANS) Vanya Stefanova.

The decision was taken at the meeting of the Cabinet of Ministers on Friday, the government press service reports.
