The Supreme Administrative Court rejected the appeal of the Political Party "Civil Platform Bulgarian Summer" against decision № 648-НС of 29.09.2021 of the Central Election Commission, which refused the registration of the party to participate in the elections for MPs on 14 November 2021.

In the parliamentary and presidential elections on November 14, one vote will be cast with one card, but in most of the sections where the voting is by machine, the devices will probably be not one, but two. This is being discussed in the Central Election Commission, but there is no final decision yet, it became clear from the words of its spokesperson Rositsa Mateva today.

The Central Election Commission has refused to register the party of Dubai-based businessman with Vasil Bozhkov "Bulgarian Summer" for the November 14th parliamentary elections. Bozhkov is investigated and has multiple charges by the Bulgarian prosecution.

The decision was made on September 29 and is subject to appeal to the Supreme Administrative Court within three days.

The Bulgarian Socialist Party registered with the CEC for both parliamentary and presidential elections. This does not mean that they will have their own presidential candidate.

A steering committee to nominate President Rumen Radev and Vice President Iliana Iotova as independent candidates to run for a second term in office at the November 14 presidential elections held its inaugural meeting on Monday. The committee comprises nearly 200 members, among them politicians, intellectuals, athletes, science, culture and art figures, and journalists.

The government is preparing a package of urgent economic measures due to inflation and the jump in electricity and petrol prices.

This was stated by the caretaker Prime Minister Stefan Yanev during his visit to Veliko Tarnovo. He specified that the measures will be announced by the end of this week or by the beginning of next.

The coalition "We continue change" submitted to the Central Election Commission (CEC) the documents for registration of the coalition for participation in the parliamentary elections on November 14, its press center reported.

The caretaker cabinet Monday approved the budget estimate for the preparation and holding of the November 14 presidential and parliamentary elections, the government information service said. The cost is projected at 123.8 million leva, including a possible second round of the presidential elections.

Supporters of Russia's ruling party celebrated winning the majority of the vote late Sunday, amid a sweeping crackdown on its critics.

But partial results on Monday showed the United Russia Party still lost significant ground in the legislature.

With 76 percent of the protocols processed, the ruling United Russia party received 49.16 percent of the vote in the parliamentary elections, and can count on 196 seats for which a majority vote is cast, the Central Election Commission said, citing the business information platform RBC.
