The National Liberal Party (PNL) garnered 26.91 percent of the votes in Sunday's election to the European Parliament, the Social Democratic Party (PSD) reaped 23.66 percent and the Save Romania Union (USR) - PLUS 2020 Alliance got 21.74 percent of the votes, shows partial data released by the Central Electoral Bureau (BEC) on Tuesday.

Data centralised by the Central Electoral Bureau (BEC) until Tuesday at 10:30hrs, EEST, indicated that 4,504,968 people voted "YES" to question no. 1 and 4,362,191 said "YES" to question no. 2, both in Sunday's justice referendum. Answering "NO" to question no. 1 were 769,313 voters, and doing the same to question no. 2 were 732,024 voters.

Data centralised by the Central Electoral Bureau (BEC) as of Monday at 14:27hrs, EEST, indicated that 2,702,719 people voted "Yes" to question No. 1 and 2,642,172 said "Yes" to question No. 2 of Sunday's justice referendum. Answering "No" to question No. 1 were 461,381 voters, and 442,507 voters gave the same answer to question No. 2.

In a clear blow to the ruling party, Romanians voted overwhelmingly on Sunday in favour of justice reform in a consultative referendum held at the same time as the European Parliament elections in which the party also fared badly.

Data centralised by the Central Electoral Bureau (BEC) as of Monday at 10:23hrs, EEST, indicated that 1,625,321 people voted "YES" to question no. 1 and 1,619,681 said "YES" to question no. 2, both in Sunday's justice referendum. Answering "NO" to question no. 1 were 277,976 voters, and doing the same to question no. 2 were 271,104 voters.
