On May 25 and 27, 1992, the Bosniaks and Serbs were illegally detained and brought to the police headquarters in Herceg Novi, near the border with Bosnia and Herzegovina, from where they were deported on buses to Bosnian Serb-controlled territory.

"Around 75 per cent of citizens have heard about the attacks on Dubrovnik, but half of them refuse to answer [when asked] who was to blame for the attacks," said Milos Vukanovic from the Centre for Civic Education.

Civil rights activist and journalists in Montenegro are to take to the streets on Wednesday to protest against growing attacks and political pressure on the independence of the public broadcaster.

Montenegro has granted 203 honorary citizenship to "prominent" figures in summary procedures since 2008, report says.

According to the same report, of that figure, 195 were proposed by Prime Minister Milo Djukanovic .
