Citizens for European Development of Bulgaria
After 12 years of near-continuous rule under Prime Minister Boyko Borissov and his center-right Citizens for European Development of Bulgaria (GERB), Bulgaria experienced a period of uncertainty following parliamentary elections held on April4, 2021.The fragmented results of the parliamentary elections though make it difficult to form a government.
Born in 1959 in Bankya, his father is an employee of the Sofia City Administration of the Ministry of Interior and his mother is a primary school teacher. He has a sister - Krasimira, who is a doctor.
He graduated from the Academy of the Ministry of Internal Affairs in Simeonovo, specialty "Fire Protection". Later he worked in the Ministry of Interior system.
In a conversation with Prime Minister Boyko Borisov, the leader of Bulgarian Socialist Party (BSP), Kornelia Ninova, has demanded a budget update for the National Health Insurance Fund for 2018 to fix "a big mistake" made by ruling party Citizens for European Development of Bulgaria (GERB) in regard to cancer patients, Ninova told a press conference.
''The report under the Cooperation and Verification Mechanism (CVM) is a serious blow to Bulgaria'', the leader of Bulgarian Socialist Party (BSP), Korneliya Ninova, commented for BTV this morning, citing leaked information last night.
In her words, the European Commission could not come to a conclusion that any of the requirements was fully met.
Citizens for European Development of Bulgaria (GERB) will send a report about the ''Tsankov Kamak'' project to the Chief Prosecutor, GERB MP Aleksandar Nenkov said at a briefing in Varna amid the repair works needed to fix defects in the hydropower dam.
The ruling party will send the report next week, bTV reported.
