Slovenia to get new airline, aviation portal says

Ljubljana – A new airline named SouthEast Airlines is emerging in Slovenia, web aviation portal Sierra5 reported on Tuesday, adding that the airline will initially provide mainly charter flights using Airbus A320 fleet. At first, SouthEast Airlines is to focus on EU markets with the first licensed commercial flight planned for early June.

Companies moving to fill void created by Adria Airways

The management of struggling air carrier Adria Airways filed for receivership after the government said it was not ready to invest in the carrier under the current owner and in its current financial state. On news of the receivership proposal, the Civil Aviation Agency stripped the airline of its operating licence and all flights have been cancelled.

Macedonia Names and Shames Worst Debtors

Three public enterprises, “Makedonija pat”, “Makedonski sumi”  and “Komunalec - Gostivar”, are among the top ten debtors in Macedonia, according the report of the Public Revenue Office. Together they owe the state around €11 million.

The list reveals that some 3,500 state and private companies as well as individuals owe the state a total of €200 million.
