The ongoing struggle against the ?parallel structure? should be carried out in a ?smart and conscientious? way within the rule of law, Deputy Prime Minister Bülent Ar?nç has said, amid fresh operations against a number of civil society organizations in the western province of Manisa.  

Party leaders sign initiative to change personal data law (Presidency)

Several party leaders signed a parliamentary initiative to modify the Law No. 506/2004 on the processing of personal data and the protection of privacy in electronic communications, the Presidential Administration announced after their meeting with President Klaus Iohannis on Wednesday.

UN rapporteur to evaluate racism in Greece

United Nations Special Rapporteur Mutuma Ruteere will visit Greece from May 4-8 2015 to evaluate the situation of racism and discrimination in the country.

This is the first official mission to Greece by the independent expert mandated by the UN Human Rights Council to assess and report on the situation of racism, racial discrimination and related intolerance in the world.

Sofia Court Approves Dismantling of 1300 Years Bulgaria Monument

The Administrative Court Sofia City has given the green light to the removal of the "1300 Years Bulgaria" Monument in front of the National Palace of Culture (NDK) in Sofia.

The Court has decided it will not pursue the complaint of sculptor Valentin Starchev against the decision of the Sofia Municipal Council for the removal of the monument.
