Within the scope of the Zero Waste Project aiming at reducing Türkiye's waste burden, 105 tons of paper and cardboard were recycled in the parliament in 2023, officals have informed. 

The project, which is carried out under the auspices of first lady Emine Erdoğan has been meticulously implemented by the parliament since 2018.

Türkiye has been unanimously approved for establishing a "Climate Change Regional Activity Center" at the 23rd Conference of the Parties (COP23) for the Mediterranean Action Plan for the Prevention of Marine Pollution.

As part of a project under to coordination of the Environment, Urbanization, and Climate Change Ministry and the Scientific and Technological Research Council of Türkiye (TÜBTAK), the waters of the country will be monitored at 425 separate locations for a period of three years to combat marine pollution.
