ROV deployed to locate sunken cargo ship crew
The search for five of the six missing crew on board Batuhan A cargo ship that sank off in the Marmara Sea continues with an unmanned underwater robot.
Considering the possibility that the crew may have been thrown overboard, the teams are conducting their searches both above and underwater.

Ukrainian chief mate rescued after falling overboard off Sinop
The chief mate of a Liberian-flagged container ship, MSC NADRIELY, has been successfully rescued alive approximately 20 hours later after he fell into the sea while the vessel was sailing off the Turkish province of Sinop's coast.
21 migrant smugglers apprehended: Minister

A street musician has lost his life after being brutally stabbed in the heart and thrown into the sea by a person, allegedly under the influence, who charged at the musician after he tried to stop him from harassing a woman in Istanbul's Kadıköy district.

Another mine disabled in Black Sea
Turkish authorities have disabled a mine in the Black Sea, the Defense Ministry said on Oct. 19, in the fourth such incident since the start of the Ukraine war.
"A mine was detected off Kıyıköy... and has been secured and neutralized," the ministry tweeted.
The Marmara province of Kırklareli's Kıyıköy district is located less than 100 kilometers (60 miles) from the Bosphorus.

Over 50 migrants pushed back in Aegean rescued
Turkish Coast Guard units rescued 52 migrants off the coast of İzmir province after they were pushed back by Greek authorities.
The Coast Guard Command said on Feb. 15 in a statement they learned that there was a group of migrants in life rafts off Dikili, Seferihisar, Foça and Çeşme districts and dispatched units to the areas.

Dozens of irregular migrants rescued off coast of Turkey
Coast Guard units rescued 54 irregular migrants off Balıkesir province in western Turkey.
Coast Guard elements were informed that dozens of migrants were stranded on rubber boats off Altınova neighborhood in Balıkesir and launched a rescue operation.
